Drawing Woman Oil Painting

How To Paint Like The Old Masters Part 3

Using the old master’s  technique we will achieve the effect that the old masters used in their paintings

Part 3: This video is about How To Paint Like The Old Master Using The Layer Technique.

Lesson Number #011-3.

In the first video, I show you how to prepare a grayscale mix for underpainting.
In the second part, I draw the image and painted the first and second layers on the canvas.
The first layer was the drawing of the woman’s face on the canvas. The second layer was adding the brownish values, while the third layer is the mix of the GRAY values that I show you in the first video on this series. Using grayscale enables us to darken and lighten the needed parts of the image. In this stage of the painting, we are building the shadows and the highlights, the dark parts of our image, and the lights with grayscale values.
If you want to see how to mix and prepare gray values scale watch this video first from three videos, link:

I love to use oil painting it is very exciting to see the development of your artwork changing during the process until the last amazing results. This technique needs time in between the painting process. You need to wait for each layer to dry.

What makes artwork so special???
The contrast, the difference between dark and light. A good artist will use his knowledge to bring everything he knows to the canvas.
Friends, it’s never too late to say I can do it, but practice and more practice!!! Follow my tutorials if you have any questions or subjects you want to draw write in the comments.
